William Saliba 'determined to leave Arsenal in January'

Teenage defender William Saliba wants to leave Arsenal on loan during the January transfer window, according to a report.

William Saliba is reportedly desperate to leave Arsenal on loan during the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Saint-Etienne over the summer but has not yet made a first-team appearance for the Gunners.

The central defender has been left out of Arsenal's 25-man Premier League squad, meaning that he has been restricted to featuring for the club's Under-23 side in Premier League 2.

According to Foot-sur7, Saliba is determined to secure first-team football in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign and is willing to give up as much as £90,000 a week in wages to make the move happen.

Saint-Etienne are allegedly interested in re-signing the teenager but would not be able to commit to a deal unless the defender was prepared to give up a chunk of his pay packet.

Saliba has a contract at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2024.
