Ruben Neves would reportedly prefers to remain in the Premier League if Wolverhampton Wanderers cash in on his signature this summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves would reportedly prefer to remain in the Premier League if he departs Molineux this summer.

As a result of his development since moving to Wolves in 2017, there has been frequent speculation regarding the inevitable next move of the Portuguese's career.

While Wolves remain in a relatively strong position with Neves having a contract until 2024, there is widespread interest in a player who could be sold for the right price.

In recent weeks, it has been claimed that Neves's preference is to move to Barcelona, with super-agent Jorge Mendes attempting to facilitate a transfer.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old would instead like to remain in the Premier League, an alleged development which will no doubt be noted behind the scenes at many English clubs.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with Neves in the past, while bids from the other three "big six" cannot be ruled out.

The report claims that Wolves would be prepared to do business at £70m, the suggestion being that they will not be forced into a sale ahead of 2022-23.
