🏆 Xhaka is your April Player of the Month!

Congratulations to Granit Xhaka, who has been voted by you as the Arsenal.com Player of the Month for April!

The midfielder enjoyed an excellent month, and was instrumental in our wins over Chelsea and Manchester United especially, to end April on a high.

The highlight was undoubtedly his searing strike in the 70th minute to seal a 3-1 victory over United at Emirates Stadium in our final game of the month.

Granit edged fellow midfielder Mohamed Elneny into second place in the poll, voted for by users of Arsenal.com.

Mikel Arteta, speaking about Granit on Friday, said: "[His renaissance is due to] things that are happening in his life, his private life, he's a father now.

"He's been through a lot, he's been through difficult moments here, he's found a lot of support internally to deal with certain situations.

"His character, the way he approaches problems, how he's willing to change things, improve constantly, to become a better person and a better player, so credit to him for what he's done."

Granit himself added: "I want to say thank you very much for voting me as Player of the Month. It's very special for me, but I want to say thank you as well for the support. Of course at home, but away as well. We will try to achieve our goals for this season."
