Arsenal set to go back in for 30M-rated, 75-goal Serie A star after failing with approach for forward in summer

Arsenal look set to go back for Belgium and Napoli star Dries Mertens, who they were keen on signing over the summer, with the Gunners set to activate the player's 30M release clause, according to Italian site CalcioMercato. As reported by CalcioMercato, the north London side had been looking to sign a new winger for the entire of the summer transfer window, however due to Chilean star Alexis Sanchez stay at the club, it meant that the Gunners' plans to sign a new forward were put on ice.
