Arsenal are reportedly close to signing centre-back Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion for around £25m. The Sun say that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is keen on Northern Ireland international Evans, could beat Manchester City to his signature this month. City, who had a bid for Evans rejected in the summer, have now been replaced as the front-runners for his signature by Arsenal.
