Barcelona ready to fight Arsenal and Manchester City for Serie A attacker
Barcelona are ready to rival Arsenal and Manchester City for Inter Milan star Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian has been one of the Serie A club's bright sparks this season in what has been a disappointing campaign. Arsenal and Manchester City are both keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder but Barcelona have now stepped up their interest. According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the Catalan giants sent scouts to watch Kovacic in action over the weekend. Barcelona are banned from buying players until January 2016 after breaching FIFA regulations. However, they are hoping that a deal can be agreed in principle now with Pedro or Alex Song being used as potential makeweights.
