Loyal fans of both Arsenal and Aston Villa are braced for disappointment when the allocations for the FA Cup final are announced in the coming days. Despite both clubs easily selling out in excess of 30,000 for their semi-final wins, the expectation is that the Football Association will again make only 25,000 tickets available to the two clubs and then distribute the remaining 37,000 to what they call the ‘football family’ and Club Wembley members. This policy prompted Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis to write to the FA last season and make what was an unsuccessful plea for change so that that more fans of the competing clubs could be at Wembley for the showpiece match....
