Jon Moss to referee Arsenal vs. Aston Villa FA Cup final

Jon Moss has been selected to referee next month's FA Cup final between Arsenal and Aston Villa at Wembley. The Football Association said on their website today that the 44-year-old had been rewarded "after a season of consistent performances at Premier League level". It will be the first time that Moss has refereed the final. "It was a complete surprise," he said. "When I got the call it was the realisation of a dream really. For any referee it is the pinnacle of your career." The last match of the English football season takes place at the national stadium on May 30.
