Mesut Ozil: Arsenal star talked with Manchester United earlier in the season
Manchester United were heavily linked with Ozil despite signing his Arsenal team-mate Alexis Sanchez earlier this month. The Germany international, however, has signed a new contract at the Emirates that will see him pocket a huge £350,000 a week. And Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst has taken to Twitter to say United told him they could offer him no promises over a move when the two camps communicated earlier in the season. “United made Mesut Ozil no promises they would sign him in the summer when they touched base earlier this season,” he said on the subject of...
