GETTY Harry Kane has admitted being let go by Arsenal was a good thing for his career Harry Kane might be banging the goals in for Tottenham now but he was once on the books of their north London rivals Arsenal. The 24-year-old was snapped up by the Gunners from Ridgeway Rovers in 2001 but after failing to impress he was released a year later. The England striker then battled to get his career back on track and was handed a lifeline by Watford before joining Spurs’ academy in 2004. He scored his 100th Premier League goal for Tottenham at the weekend in the thrilling 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
