Arsenal are reportedly preparing to follow up their interest in Brazilian youngster Maycon with a formal bid for his services this summer. The 20-year-old midfielder has been monitored by a number of top sides following his performances for Corinthians, with Shakhtar Donetsk having made an unsuccessful attempt to land him back in January. The Gunners have had Maycon on their radar for several years and were said to be "very interested" in signing him in January but ultimately decided against a move.
