Arsenal transfer news: Gunners receive boost in pursuit of Bernd Leno – the goalkeeper tipped to replace Petr Cech

Arsenal have been given a boost in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno after Napoli switched their attention to Genoa’s Mattia Perin. Leno has impressed in Germany this season and can leave in the summer if his £22million release clause is met. Arsenal are interested in the 26-year-old, but it was feared they would have to beat off competition from Napoli to get their man. However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, that is no longer the case as the Serie A side have changed targets.
