Premier League clubs reject introduction of VAR next season PREMIER LEAGUE clubs have voted against using VAR in the English top flight next season. By Andy Wilson / Published 13th April 2018 A shareholders meeting was held today in London were all 20 Premier League clubs agreed that more testing is required before the system can be introduced. VAR has been trialled in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup this season but the system has been heavily criticised, primarily over a lack of communication with fans in the stadium.
