That’s what Rafael has now revealed while reflecting on their moves to Old Trafford back in 2008. Rafael and brother Fabio caught United scouts’ eyes after rising through the youth ranks at Fluminense in their homeland. And the initial groundwork to the pair completing their switch was put in when they were spotted at a youth tournament in Hong Kong. Rafael has now lifted the lid on the process that ended in him and Fabio joining United, including Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement in the deal.
