Arsenal news: Thierry Henry reveals one Arsene Wenger signing who deserved more credit

GETTY/SKY SPORTS Nicolas Anelka joined Arsenal aged 17 in 1997 Anelka joined Arsenal at just 17 years of age in February 1997 and was instrumental to their double-winning campaign the following season. He left the club after just two years, joining Real Madrid for £22.3million which many fans believed paid for the Gunners’ new training ground in London Colney. Anelka played for five other Premier League sides during his career, winning the Golden Boot as well as the Premier League and two FA Cups during a four-year spell with Chelsea.
