Jack Wilshere: 'I should be in England squad for World Cup'

Jack Wilshere has expressed his frustration at missing out on a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for this summer's World Cup. The 26-year-old made 38 appearances for Arsenal during the 2017-18 campaign, but was left out of the Three Lions contingent that will travel to Russia for the tournament. Taking to social media on Thursday evening, Wilshere admitted that he was "incredibly disappointed" with Southgate's decision as he has felt "fit, sharp and strong all season", but wished his compatriots all the best.
