Arsene Wenger Admits Wilshere Needs Two Years Of Being Injury-Free

Reports are out claiming that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feels Jack Wilshere won't reach his best until he has two years of injury free football. Wenger will be happy for Wilshere to travel with England to the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia in June, believing the extra games will help him. 'He needs competition,' said Wenger. 'Every week he is stronger, he is getting back to the level now. This week is the first week he has been sharp again. 'He needs one or two years without problems to really get the full confidence and belief back and I don’t see why it shouldn’t happen.' Tags: Arsenal, featured
