Knee injury rules Danny Welbeck out of FA Cup final

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck will miss this weekend's FA Cup final against Aston Villa through injury. The Englishman hasn't played in a month due to a knee problem and has not returned to training, leaving Olivier Giroud or Theo Walcott to start up front. The Telegraph reports that England manager Roy Hodgson is now likely to start Jamie Vardy and Charlie Austin together as England take on Republic or Ireland in a friendly next month, as Welbeck won't be fit enough to start.
