Police want Kenny Sansom talks after attack left former Arsenal ace in hospital

Police are intent on speaking to Kenny Sansom once he is able to describe the incident that left him in a critical condition on Friday night. The former Arsenal left-back, 61, had been unable to communicate for seven days – and doctors told his family they didn’t expect him to survive the night eight days ago. Reports on Friday evening claimed Sansom had suffered a serious head injury after a ‘drunken row’ but details of the incident are sketchy. Detectives have launched an investigation into an alleged incident last month at a property in Exeter, according to the Sun.
