Wenger wanted throw-ins banned and grass at Stoke checked after multiple defeats

Arsene Wenger wrote a letter to the FA complaining the grass at Stoke's Britannia Stadium (now Bet365) was too long. The former Gunners boss also attempted to get throw-ins banned such was his frustration at the Gunners repetitively losing to Stoke, it has been revealed by Tony Pulis. The ex-Potters gaffer told all in the latest episode of That Peter Crouch podcast. 'I always want angles to get players motivated, to put fire into their bellies and something for the supporters to feed off,' Pulis said.
