Arsenal accept Saint-Maximin transfer depends on Newcastle takeover collapsing

Arsenal are reportedly set to make a bid for Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin but only if the Saudi Arabia-backed consortium looking to takeover the Magpies fails in their bid. Saint-Maximin has impressed for Steve Bruce's side since making a £16m switch from Nice last summer, netting four goals and contributing seven assists in 25 appearances. As a result, the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Arsenal have been linked with the 23-year-old and, according to a report from the Northern Echo, the Gunners' bid to sign him depends on who owns Newcastle.
