Liverpool used famous Sir Alex Ferguson transfer trick against Arsenal in 2017

Liverpool used a tactic made famous by Sir Alex Ferguson in August of 2017. Since that date the Reds have gone on to win both the Champions League and the Premier League - and it could show just how important poaching a player from a rival club can be. Jurgen Klopp managed to convince Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to move to Anfield from Arsenal despite his love for the club he had played for since 2011. The switch was reminiscent of Robin van Persie’s transfer to Manchester United back in 2012, which would have boosted their playing squad by taking a key man from their direct rival.
