Arsene Wenger talks Man Utd approach at Arsenal but denies Man City making move

Arsene Wenger said his 'love story' with Arsenal was the reason behind him turning down an approach to take the Manchester United hotseat. The legendary Gunners boss refused to reveal when United made an approach for him - although it is believed to have been around 2002 when his great rival Sir Alex Ferguson was considering retirement. But while some of Europe's top clubs headhunted him during his time at Arsenal, Wenger insisted Manchester City never made a move. The Frenchman, who won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during his 22 years in charge of Arsenal, was asked in an interview with FourFourTwo whether either of the Manchester clubs had either made a move for him....
