Mesut Ozil’s imminent Arsenal exit has been delayed as he undergoes a period of quarantine in Istanbul. The World Cup winning midfielder fell out of favour under Unai Emery and failed to prove that he could be an asset to the first-team following the arrival of Mikel Arteta. The 32-year-old, who has close connections to Turkey and grew up as a supporter of Fenerbahce, is all set to leave north London six months before his contract expires. However, there is one final delay in the official conformation as Ozil takes part in an enforced quarantine to stay in line with Turkey's Covid-19 protocols.
