Liverpool 'made contact with Arsenal flop Sokratis' as emergency transfer option

Liverpool reportedly made contact with Sokratis Papastathopoulos as Jurgen Klopp still looks for defensive reinforcements. The Reds are set to be without Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the majority of the rest of the season due to knee injuries. It has cost the reigning Premier League champions, though Klopp is yet to move for any new players during this month’s transfer window. Sokratis saw his contract terminated at Arsenal earlier in January and has now joined Greek outfit Olympiacos.
