Arteta outlines Aubameyang return plan as Arsenal star recovers from malaria
Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal will not rush Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back from his brush with malaria. The Gunners booked a Europa League semi final against former boss Unai Emery’s Villarreal by beating Slavia Prague without their skipper on Thursday night. And while the forward is out of hospital after being picking up the tropical disease on international duty with Gabon, he’s been told to take his time with his recovery. Arsenal boss Arteta said: “Let's see how he recovers. Obviously when you get a disease like this it can take a bit for the body to feel in good condition to the extreme condition we put the body through in our sport.
