West Ham Desperate To Keep Hold Of Former Arsenal Midfielder

It has been reported that West Ham United are battling to hold onto Alex Song for next season. The Sunday Telegraph revealed that West Ham are willing to offer Barcelona midfielder Alex Song a £70,000-a-week contract to snub Chelsea this summer. Song, 27, still has two years remaining on his Barca contract and is reportedly valued at around £5million. The Hammers are keen on landing the former Arsenal midfielder on a permanent basis after bringing him in on loan last term.
