West Ham co-chairman David Gold confirms club 'working hard' to land Arsenal defender

David Gold has confirmed West Ham are "working hard" to bring Carl Jenkinson back to Upton Park. The England Under-21 right-back enjoyed a successful spell on loan from Arsenal last season, and the Hammers are hoping to secure him for another campaign. "We are very working hard to try and get Carl back here," said co-chairman Gold, speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. Jenkinson is not West Ham's only remaining transfer target. The Hammers have already completed deals for Dimitri Payet, Pedro Obiang and Darren Randolph this summer.
