Arsenal's hopes for the top four took a seismic hit as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley. Mikel Arteta’s side had numerous chances to break the deadlock, and could have already amassed a five goal lead. Emile Smith-Rowe, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka all came close with efforts in the first-half, but they were either marginally off target or saved by a defiant Nick Pope. Alexandre Lacazette had a golden chance to put the Gunners ahead in the second-half, when Smith-Rowe surged down the left-hand side and cut the ball back for him, but the Frenchman poked wide with an open goal at his mercy.
