Karl Hein has joined Championship side Reading on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old, who has been playing regularly for the under-23s since making his debut at that level at just 17, made his non-competitive first team debut in July in the pre-season friendly at Hibernian. 
 Karl, who has been training regularly with the first-team squad in recent seasons, signed a new long-term contract with us last September and has been regularly travelling with the first team on matchdays, being on the bench seven times in the past two seasons.
