Hammers still hopeful over Jenkinson loan

West Ham say they're still hopeful of signing Carl Jenkinson on loan for the second successive season, despite reports that the right back is on his way to Sunderland. The England international made 36 appearances for the Hammers last season, but still finds himself behind Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Debuchy for a place in the Arsenal side. However, despite that, Arsene Wenger still appears to want to retain the former Charlton man and is looking for another season long loan spell rather than a sale.
