Arsene Wenger Plays Down Talks With Real Madrid For Karim Benzema
It has been reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he's not in talks for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema – at the moment. Its been suggested Wenger will step up his pursuit of the player next week, with Real keen to offload the 27-year-old. But Wenger said: 'I don't know where that story has come from. But that's not happening at the moment.' Olivier Giroud is currently Arsenal's first-choice striker, while Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck have all been used there.
