Roma Turn Down Arsenal Approach For Kostas Manolas

It has been reported by the Sunday People that Roma have dealt Arsenal a blow in his transfer window chase of defender Kostas Manolas. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have contacted the Italian giants with an offer of £5.5million for the Greece international, but Roma are refusing to entertain the idea of selling the 24-year-old. Roma have lost centre-backs Mehdi Benatia and Marquinhos to Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain respectively in the previous two transfer windows and are hoping to build their backline around Manolas, eyeing him as a potential captain once Francesco Totti retires.
