Community Shield 2015: Why winning would give Chelsea or Arsenal an early edge in Premier League title race

The game's most reliable raiser of curtains will be played at Wembley on Sunday, with Premier League champions Chelsea taking on FA Cup holders Arsenal. Arsene Wenger will hope that ultimately meaningless Barclays Asia Trophy and Emirates Cup triumphs will be followed by a second successive and slightly less meaningless Community Shield victory, but he will be well aware that pre-season form does not necessarily translate into the competitive campaign, even if they did just last week hit Lyon for six.
