Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere set to miss start of season with ankle injury

The Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to miss the start of the Premier League season with the ankle injury he suffered in training on Saturday. The 23-year-old was omitted from the side that defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley in Sunday’s Community Shield, and afterwards Arsène Wenger said the player would only be out for ‘days’.
