Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has laughed off claims by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho that he "abandoned" his philosophy in order to win the Community Shield on Sunday. The Gunners appeared notably more defensive in the second half as they looked to defend their 1-0 lead, courtesy of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's first half bullet. That goal was enough to see Wenger's side - who had never beaten Mourinho's Chelsea in 13 previous attempts - end the hoodoo and Mourinho suggested that he went against his ideals to attain the victory.
