£49.6m World Cup winner could make deadline day switch to Arsenal

We have been credited with an interest in wantaway Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze, with the German international unsettled at the Bundesliga club with Pep Guardiola at the helm, according to The Telegraph. The Metro claims we would have to fork out £49.6m for his services, although where they plucked that figure from is a mystery. Germany's World Cup hero, Gotze made the £32m (via Sky Sports) switch from Borussia Dortmund back in 2013. As the report suggests, he has fallen out with Guardiola since then, and may consequently be looking for a move abroad.
