Arsenal in late bid to sign versatile international forward, player excited by Gunners link

Arsenal have reportedly failed with a deadline day loan bid to sign Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin, according to Russian source Sports.ru. With additional information from the Metro, it seems the Gunners hoped to land the 24-year-old Russian international on a season-long deal, with a view to a permanent move at the end of it. Although Kokorin himself was reportedly keen on this potential transfer, his club Dynamo have rejected it and could kill Arsene Wenger's hopes of securing a last-minute signing on deadline day.
