Arsenal star considered shock exit after losing first-team place

Arsenal star Mathieu Debuchy revealed that he thought about leaving the club after losing his first team role to Hector Bellerin, according to reports from the Metro. The 30-year-old struggled with injury throughout his debut campaign following his move from Newcastle United back in the summer of 2014. His unavailability forced manager Arsene Wenger to promote Bellerin from the youth team to fill the void, a move which eventually saw the youngster earn himself a permanent role in the senior squad.
