Real Madrid star wanted Arsenal move over the summer

Real Madrid star Karim Benzema was keen on a sensational summer switch to Arsenal, as reported by the Daily Mail. The French forward found himself extensively linked with a switch to the North London giants, but the move ultimately did not materialise. Reports suggest the 27-year old hitman was ready to try a new challenge, after arriving in the Spanish capital during the summer of 2009.
