Brooklyn Beckham released by Arsenal after failing to earn scholarship deal

Brooklyn Beckham's aspirations of emulating dad David's successful football career have been put on hold today as it is rumoured Arsenal Football Club will not be offering the youngster a youth contract at the end of the season. The 15 year-old is enrolled at Arsenal’s Hale End academy and was hoping to be handed a two-year scholarship to continue playing with the Gunners. The teenager hit the headlines recently after a surprise call up to the club’s Under 18 side earlier this month, but it is alleged that a decision has been made by Arsenal not to retain Beckham junior’s services next season.
