Ashley Cole explains 'Arsenal Invincibles' interview refusal
Ashley Cole has revealed that he turned down the chance to feature in a book about Arsenal's unbeaten 2003-04 Premier League campaign because he did not want to upset the club's supporters. The left-back, who rose through the ranks of the North London club, missed just six games as the Gunners went the entire season without suffering a defeat. However, despite being a favourite among the fans, his move to rivals Chelsea in 2006 soured the relationship, with the former England international roundly jeered whenever he returned to the Emirates Stadium.
