Wenger Insists Arsenal Never Made Move For Anthony Martial

It has been reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists they were never in for Manchester United striker Anthony Martial. The French international has been a revelation for United since his arrival from AS Monaco. 'Martial was one of the players Monaco didn't want to sell, so we never made any approach,' said Wenger this morning. 'United offered special money.' He is then asked about Morgan Schneiderlin, but is not forthcoming. 'Again, I have information on these cases I am not in position to tell you,' Wenger adds.
