Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville believes that manager Louis van Gaal made the right call to sign Angel di Maria instead of Alexis Sanchez. Di Maria impressed at Old Trafford by scoring three goals and making six assists in his first 10 matches after joining the club for a British record £59.7m fee from Real Madrid last summer. However, since suffering a hamstring injury in December, the Argentina international has struggled to maintain his form. In contrast, Sanchez has scored 18 goals in 35 appearances following his move to Arsenal from Barcelona last year.
