Arsenal news: Danny Welbeck aiming for New Year injury return

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck is hoping to return to action around the New Year. The 24-year-old was forced to undergo surgery in August after failing to recovery from a knee cartilage problem which has troubled him since April. But the England international has now revealed he is aiming to be back on the pitch in around two months' time. "It's difficult to put an exact date on it, around the New Year. After I had the operation, I was in a leg brace for about four weeks – which wasn't easy," Welbeck told Sport360.
