Arsenal are said to be confident of beating a host of other interested clubs to the signature of young Juventus defender Daniele Rugani during the January transfer window, according to the Metro. The 21-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan with minnows Empoli, where he impressed with a string of assured and confident displays, but he has so far been unable to break into Max Allegri's plans upon his return over the summer.
