Arsene Wenger refuses to use Aaron Ramsey as a defensive midfielder

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that Aaron Ramsey is not the answer to the club's defensive midfield crisis and has refused to deploy him in that role, according to the Daily Express. Francis Coquelin has been ruled out for the next three months, and both Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere are still battling injuries, while Mathieu Flamini has struggled to get a foothold back in the side in their absence. But Wenger, who tested out Ramsey in a defensive midfield role during pre-season, does not believe he is best suited for that position and is better off on the right flank.
