TOP GUNNER: Giroud celebrates his opening goal [GETTY] The Gunners' hopes of progressing in the Champions League hang by a thread after Monaco played them off the park in a 3-1 win. But their plot to qualify next time around is alive and kicking after they came out on top against a blunt Everton side. Giroud fired home from a corner before Rosicky's late deflected shot found the net to ease some of the pressure on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger who admitted his side were suicidal in the week. Per Mertesacker paid the price with his spot in the side which taken by Gabrial Paulista who made his Premier League debut.
