Chelsea lining up ex-Man United & Arsenal hitman as Alex Pato replacement if transfer collapses

According to reports, Chelsea are understood to have made a shock move to sign Robin van Persie, who's being lined up for a possible switch to Stamford Bridge. The Blues are understood to be getting cold feet on Alexandre Pato, who's been mooted to move to west London from Corinthians on loan. The Brazil forward has been rumoured to be on his way to Stamford Bridge as a possible January offensive solution for Guus Hiddink, who's seen Radamel Falcao ruled out with injury and Loic Remy agitating for a move away from the club ahead of Euro 2016.
