Arsenal ready to tie up £1.5m deal deal for French Euro 2016 hopeful

Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy was locked in talks with Aston Villa on Friday night over a potential loan move, according to the Daily Mirror. The 30-year old defender has long been linked with a move away from North London this month after falling down the pecking order due to the emergence of Hector Bellerin. With Euro 2016 on the horizon, the former Newcastle right-back has previously revealed his desire to depart the Emirates in order to stake a claim for the French squad. Now, the Mirror claim Premier League strugglers Villa will pay a £1.5m loan fee in order to secure Debuchy’s services until the end of the season.
